Junior Olympic National Championships -- Yonas takes 20th

Yonas and Abraham competed this past weekend in Spokane at the Junior Olympic National Cross Country Championships as members of the Rain City Flyers. Yonas took 20th in the Young Mens division and Abraham finished 89th in the Intermediate division. Congratulations to both on great cross country seasons!

Fall Sports Awards Night, Monday Nov. 20

The RHS Fall Sports Awards Night will be held in the RHS performing arts center on Monday, November 20 beginning at 7:00pm. Select athletes from each sport will be acknowledged during the opening 45 minutes of the program. Afterward, athletes and families will move to separate rooms in order for the coaches to acknowledge team members.

Let's have a large cross country turn out and celebrate a great year!

RHS Boys Win Kingco!!!

Yesterday afternoon, the RHS boys varsity team won team honors at the Kingco 4A League meet and qualify to move on to the bi-District meet at Finn Hill Junior High School next Saturday at 2:45pm. The JV boys team also took top honors. Congratulations to both teams!

RHS Boys Capture Hole in the Wall Top Spot!

The Roosevelt boys' cross country teams won the Varsity and JV team races at the Hole in the Wall Invitational hosted by Lakewood High School in Snohomish County. Yonas and Abraham went 1-2 in the varsity race. The Everett Herald has an article about the race with some quotes from Yonas.
